Ashoka Tandoori

No rice or poppadoms included with main meal. Food was fine but nothing extraordinary.

Food was fine if expensive but we've eaten there before and knew the price. However, the meals come without rice or papadoms which surprised me as other take-aways offer this as an inclusive price.

Always hot, fresh and as tasty as eating in

all went to plan and tasted very good.

It is on the pricey side but have been going to Ashoka for years and the quality is always amazing. Take away or eat in is the same and delivery is always with a smile... Will always be back xx

Amazing food, cooked to perfection, definitely the best Indian restaurant in Brighton! Great vfm and super quick delivery. Highly recommended!

The food was good as always - reasonable portion sizes and good quality (although sometimes seem to be too many pieces of tomato which make the dish look more substantial than it is - disappointing when a piece of chicken turns out to be tomato!). The free home delivery service is excellent, although this time the food arrived 15 minutes early. Fortunately we here home to receive it and, as the driver said, at least the food was hot - preferable, I guess, to him sitting round the corner for 15 minutes and letting it cool so we have to re-heat (as we did last time).

Probably the best curry I have had.

Great food, slightly pricey.

Delivered on time, but small amount of chicken in curry.

The good: Portion sizes were good and food appeared to all be freshly prepared. Nans were light and fresh. We collected so cannot comment about delivery and the the meal was ready exactly when they said it would be.The not so good: Two of our group had a Chicken Tikka Masala and said it was one of the poorest examples they'd ever had. Rather bland taste and unnecessary amounts of sultanas and tomato chunks. Was it even a masala they wondered?

This was our 3rd order from the Ashoka via Curries Online. This time we ordered 'out of hours' (early afternoon) for delivery at a designated early evening timeslot. The delivery, as on previous occasions, was unbelievably prompt. Although a good 10-minute drive away, the food was hot enough to serve without re-heating and all was of the consistently high standard we've come to expect. I decided to be adventurous and opt for one of Mr Miah's specials that I'd not had before. Unfortunately the citrus fruit used as a key part of the dish was a bit too sharp for my taste but the chicken and other elements of the dish were good. Love their poppadoms!

This restaurant consistently makes and delivers a fantastic curry. The balti is the best I've had outside Birmingham. Delivery drivers are always cheery souls and it arrives when it says it will, hot and as good as when you eat in the restaurant (which I would also recommend).

Having eaten the murgh bhazzan in the restaurant and enjoyed it some time ago, I ordered again for our takeaway. Unfortunately, I didn't enjoy as much as before - the dish tasted very salty - either the recipe's changed or someone slipped up with the salt! Other than that, our food was as delicious as ever - generous portions, fresh looking food and the naan this time was soft, puffy and as it should be.

Hi,The restaurant selection was very good. The website (bar finding the voucher code to use for the initial 10% offer which was not obvious) was very easy to use and the food turned up faster than advertised. Very Pleased.

Food was good and arrived in good time.....I didnt order poppadoms but spent over £30 so I kiind of expected to get poppadoms included gratis!

First time use of online ordering from here and was expecting to have to collect in view of distance of home from restaurant. However food arrived bang on time and was still hot enough to eat without re-heating, except for the naan which was too cold and doughy. If we'd not been too hungry to wait, it would have benefitted from a few minutes in the oven. Otherwise excellent - will definitely use again.

I have never had a bad meal from Ashoka. No really! Good food, good value, just perfect.

I was delighted to find this takeaway and will definately be using it again and would certainly recommend it. Food was hot and delicious, delivery guy was polite, all round great service.

Rice was perfect.Vegetable Dhansak and Vegetable Rogan Josh we're average.The Poppadom we're burnt. This is a real shame as arguable poppadoms are everyones favourite part of an India meal!Will try somewhere different next time.

Food and service very good I find a little expensive for take away but on the other hand it is always hot and we never throw anything away

After spending over £55 with Ashokawe received x6 puppads (dry microwave equivalent) instead of authentic poppadums!! Just not the same!

Have had meals from Ashoka many times, but felt this was not quite up to scratch, and a little expensive. 4 prawns for £15? Makes a prawn more costly than a Tesco chicken

pretty good, though wasnt overly impressed by the vegtable curry with my biryani! rest of the food was very good though and delivery was prompt.

Easy way to order for a fairly large group. Delivery within the time predicted and food was a good standard.

Overall was pretty happy but the serving size for the sag aloo was a bit disappointing.however, service time was excellent and the meal was enjoyed!

After trying other takeaways in the Hove area and being constantly disappointed, we always return to Ashoka.You get what you pay for!
