The service was lovely and the waiters/hosts were welcoming and attentive. Food was great as always! My favourite restaurant on Lordship Lane.
Excellent curry.... One of the best we've had, with superb service and an an incredible price. We'll be returning regularly.
I had a lovely Valentine's Day meal here with my fiancé - the food was great, the portions good, and the service and care excellent. Really well done! Outstanding! (I was even given a rose by the restaurant, and a booth had been arranged.) From start to finish, we were treated well. Thank you so much!
So glad Dulwich Tandoori is in my neighbourhood! Great food and great service! The portions are generous, so really great value too!
They sponsor the local sports club, they make tasty food, they deliver rapidly.....what more do you want!
I’ve been eating at the Dulwich Tandoori for several years. I’ve always felt well taken care of, though they like my father more! That aside, the food is delicious, service is impeccable, and delivery is stupendous!
It is without a doubt the best Indian spicy food I’ve ever tasted in London till date!
Very good quality and quantity. However I think the Goan duck was not very coconutty and needs careful preparation. Otherwise all other dishes were as expected and the parathas were not greasy which is careful cooking! Thanks for good customer service and see you soon! Happy new year and for face to face eating. Or mouth as it happens.
Very nice meal
Very friendly staff welcoming at the door and food was outstanding. Would definitely recommend if you’d like an authentic taste of Indian food
The food was good , arrived warm.. but both my wife and I have upset stomachs having eaten the food.
Excellent!
Everything good
I got ill - vomiting
Really efficient and staff were very professional - very high standard of service. And the food was delicious!
Flavoursome meal, quick delivery
Lovely curry!!!
WE have been to Dulwich Tandoori a couple of times but due to weather we decided on a takeaway. WE were absolutely delighted with the service received. Within 25 minutes, our meal was delivered. The food was excellent and we really enjoyed it. Really good value for money. We will definitely order again
We'd really enjoyed our meal. Biryani and onion bhajis especially good.
Brilliant food delivered quickly. The chicken was tender and good quality. The sauce was not a generic sauce that you sometimes get from other places. Definitely our new favourite.
Always very tasty. Complements to the chef.
Absolutely love Dulwich Tandoori, always my first choice for takeaway. Food; Service; Price; Delivery... everything is perfect!!
Dulwich Tandoori’s food is always excellent regardless of whether you sit down and enjoy your meal at the restaurant or takeaway; and the service does not change. I collected a takeaway on Sunday and saw that they have a buffet so will definitely try that!
Have used Dulwich Tandori for a number of years and always go back. Really nice delivery drivers and ‘Happy New Year’ to the one that came yesterday, I was too eager to get my hands on the meal and forgot to return his greeting! Enjoy the King Prawn dishes mostly and the Bombay Aloo. Love it.
It is my second time ordering their food and as always a great taste and service.
Lovely Bengal fried fish and coconut rice.
My guests raved about the quality of the meal, saying they would definitely now patronise the Dulwich Tandoori.
So easy to order and pay on line. The food arrived in good time and was enjoyed by all five of us. Excellent!
Dulwich Tandoori is by far our favourite, best and most reliable curry takeaway. The Pathia curry is SO delicious every time. Thank you for your amazing food and service!
extremely slow delivery over an hour late. dished on menu could be better described & heat ratings given as well as more vegan options /alternatives. Not as good as they used to be
Absolutely delicious food, as always, and piping hot. Thank you!
As a first timer to the restaurant I was more then pleased! Great authentic food and great value as we received loads of it! I will definelty order from here again.
Easy to order. Quick delivery. Highly recommended.
when ordering a portion of bread, i didn’t expect only one piece. at 4£ i definitely expected more. Also in the prawn dish i ordered there was only 1 piece of prawn. the food was really nice though. Incredibly delicious
Most of the time the food from these guys is amazing, and almost faultless. But this time the food received was pretty bland, and the food was a little late. Won’t discourage me from orderin again - fingers crossed they were having an off day
Food was hot and very tasty.
First time I used this restaurant for takeaway, impressed, it's quite small but the food is fabulous and the staff are ever so friendly
Food was great as always. Delivered earlier than predicted! Wonderful.
Child's play to order on line....just click on your selection from the entire menu...delicious curries...delivered right on time within a 15 minute slot...easily paid by card...highly recommended.
lamb chops starter was really tasty, as was the chicken tandoori masala. Delivery was really quick too!
Really good food, arrived on time. Bit pricier than some but worth it for good curry - couple of poppadoms on the house might have helped but can't fault it apart from that!
The food tasted great! Hope the chef doesn’t change like other restaurants!!
I have often eaten in this East Dulwich Indian Restaurant, and this takeaway was just as good.
Very dissappointed
Definitely one of the best Indians around. Have been in the restaurant a few times as well as getting take aways, service is always good and the food is great, with 30% off when collecting you really can't go wrong. Highly recommend
Ordered Mutton Biriyani and a side curry and was good quality and tasted nice.
Very good food from a varied menu, friendly and helpful staff - recommended!
I’ve eaten at / ordered from Dulwich Tandoori before and it has always been very reliable. The food this time just wasn’t very nice.
Delicious food, service is quick
I keep coming back to Dulwich Tandoori because the staff are so friendly and the food is so tasty. I had some friends round for a catch up and we ordered a pretty sizeable meal. Everybody said how great the food was. Happy customers.
I thought the masala tasted like soap and the courgette bhaji wasn't a bhaji. The rogan was the only acceptable dish. I was deeply upset but couldn't drive back out to complain late last night
We had heard good things about this place, but the lamb chops were really not good at all. we didnt eat them. the two other curries we had a prawn madras and chicken chilli masala also tasted not good. The prawns were horrible. do not order from here
Always good curry's
Wrong dish delivered. Dish was replaced promptly but the quality of the replacement was sub standard, the sauce tasted really different to the first one (dish was only replacing tofu with chicken, rest of dish should have been the same), ended up fishing out the chicken and putting it in the cold sauce from wrong dish. Didn't receive an apology. Won't be returning.
My only criticism is that I found the lamb madras had too much sugar in it.
Food was wonderful but delivered way after it was supposed to have been and we needed to call twice. Delivery guy did bring us a bottle of wine as apology though. Would definitely order again regardless. Hard to find a good Indian and this is a good one.
Arrived quickly, food tasty
Quick and delicious
Really quick and really tasty
A wee bit more expensive than our normal choice but the food is top class. You can tell they use good ingredients and it feels fresh and not too fatty. Perfect portion size too - enough for a wee snack the next day! Delicious flavour.
the green chicken tikka flavour didnt seem right; and the king prawns and the pomfret were a bit dry (overcooked); the dhansak, goan curry and vegetables were superb
Food at Dulwich Tandoori is always delicious but the 8.27 pm delivery time ended up being 9.15 p.m. which unfortunately spoilt our evening.
The food as always was great, and I picked it up when instructed, but it was already cool which is a shame.
And pay. Will order again this way.
The coconut rice had many huge crystals of sugar in (both portions - so no accident). The chicken was just small pieces with some bones. The poppadoms (8) came with a tiny amount of mango (?) chutney which was very pale and anaemic. All in all - really poor.
Excellent
delicious as always. on this occasion the food was a little colder than ideal on arrival.
Food was good, but waited well over an hour for the delivery. Plus they'd forgetting part of the order. Didn't offer to come back to amend it until 'next time'.
The best Indian food I've tasted - the chicken Shatkora is just a delight to the tastebuds. Lovely service, friendly, knowledgeable and courteous staff. Perfect evening out.
Good curry, ready on time of pick up, enjoyed very much.
food wasn't hot enough tandoori chicken was delivered when lamb was ordered free bottle of beer was promised on promotion, none delivered
The Dulwich Tandoori is our fave on Lordship Lane, everytime we go there the food tastes amazing, the service is great and I look forward to going back.
Sadly the on offer large Indian Beer turned up as cider, but was replaced within 20 mins
I've been living in Camberwell for almost four years now and this is the only place to go for your curry people! LOVE IT!
Online states free bottle of Indian beer for order over £20 Did not receive this. Sent message re this nothing since. Will not buy from there again
The food took over an hour to arrive and when it did it was luke warm and had clearly been sat on the side for ages.
Very Tasty
We pilau rice was missing from our order!
All was good as usual although after we got the meal home we realised that the Large Bottle of beer that was part of the promotion , had not been included in in the bag.
I really loved the taste of the dishes. I do feel that it is slightly overpriced for a take away meal.
Great food and cheerful delivery!
The food was really nice & the service was really good as well. The food came on time & the delivery man was very friendly. I would definitely recommended it.
Fresh food . Great service. Korahi is the best I've had
Fresh food . Great service. Korahi is the best I've had.
Fresh food . Great service. Korahi is the best I've had
Great curry, the lamb pathia is now my go to curry, they did forget the beer though when it was delivered.
We were waiting for 90 minutes for our delivery, I had to call up to chase. The food from here is always amazing, even if they didn't deliver what we'd ordered!
overcooked rice, cold sides, curry with green olives with stones?? Peshwari nan was v. Good
Good as always!
Excellent food
Food is always reliably consistent and of a high standard. Our Indian takeaway of choice.
Really excellent food, fast delivery and great value... will always be our first choice for delivery
A bit of a mix up, but very nice all the same.
Always consistent but not the best quality in area
Shame 1 item missing.
Booked early as a pre order for delivery! Order was with us on time, hot and fresh! Absolutely gorgeous and we enjoyed every bit of it.
Dulwich Tandoori supplied our post squash event curry on Saturday. Wonderful food and spot on service. Thanks!
We placed the same order we had ordered a few weeks ago from the same restaurant and felt the food and service this time was not as good. One of our order items was missing, the curry sauce was greasy, and the prawns hadn't been de-veined. Our order did arrive very quickly, however we will be trying a new Indian next time we get take-away.
The food nearly cold when it finally arrived after more than an hour and a half! A shame, because it tasted fantastic!
Food arrived 1h20 minutes after we ordered and was luke warm when it did. We have eaten in the restaurant and the food is beautiful - but we were disappointed with the take away service.
I ordered my food easily on your online system but it took nearly an hour nd a half for delivery. The driver had to ring me twice too because he couldn't find where I lived. When the food arrived some of it was lukewarm (tandoori chicken, Bombay potato) and the rest was stone cold (rice, saag aloo, onion baji, chipatti. The food is nice but the service had put me off ordering from Dulwich Tandoori again.
Everything was cold (wouldn't be a major problem if we hadn't just had our kitchen ripped out). Green chicken tikka a strange shade of blue - BLUE and lacking flavour. Only good value because I had 30% off. However, karahi lamb tikka was tasty (but cold!)
the Pathia curry is excellent flavour and value for money one of the best curries i've ever had, the king prawns are large and really well done.
The order arrived far too early. Ordered for 7.30 arrived 6.45
We love Dulwich Tandoori - they deliver promptly and the food is always really tasty. This time, it was not as hot as it could have been.
Thank you for fur-filling the brief and getting the food to us on time, very hot.nTasty and Delicious. Was enjoyed by all.,
Very nice Bengali fish dish. Biryani fine. Strange luminous green chicken starter. No free bottle of beer as promised. Good popadums, free pickles. Food came at time ordered.
Stunning - the chicken tikka Balti is a taste sensation
We love Dulwich Tandoori. It's our go-to Indian takeaway. The dishes are always so tasty and cooked to perfection.
Perfect for midweek or friday night take away. Try the Goan Fish Curry it has olives which adds the salt, very nice.
Really enjoyed another meal of excellent quality from the restaurant. Delivered within an hour. The quantity a bit smaller then previously. But it only meant that we didn't have leftovers, it was still a great meal!
Very simple and easy to use website, speedy delivery and delicious food - what more could you ask for?!
Enjoyed the food and the prices are fair
While the consistency was a little thin the taste was very enjoyable.
I really enjoy the tandoori lam chops bhuna it's really nice and the rest off food was really good I will order again
Had family staying who really enjoyed the excellent food
Food arrived quickly, generous portions. Service with a smile but unfortunately this time (unusually) it was cold.
Oh my days this was one of the best delivery curries I have had in London. The tandoori garlic chicken is unbeatable
Will definitely be ordering again thank you!
As always the food was delicious and the delivery came earlier than estimated :)
Really good Curry from Dulwich Tandoori. Will definitely be ordering again soon.
delicious curry and reasonably quick delivery despite it obviously being a very busy night! enjoyed the free chutneys and beer with delivery. VERY good value for money and truly delicious. my new regular!
Ordering was easy. The service the quick and friendly. The food was great.
excellent curry house
we've ordered from dulwich tandoori a few times now over the past year - in the past, they were pretty good - food was flavourful and plentiful and arrived quickly. but recently (the past 2 months) it's a even better - a substantial step up - i don't know if they've changed the chef or management but the food is better than ever - i hope this stays that way. service and delivery is always good.
Good as always and delivered within 30 minutes.
Food was excellent but took a long time to arrive. It turned out my order had not been processed. DT were very apologetic and did not charge for my meal. Obviously mistakes happen from time to time but they acknowledged it and dealt with it.
I was impressed with the service. The food was tasty, however very fatty.
Two weeks in a row they have been slow. Fortunately the food is worth it.
Really like Dulwich Tandoori. Dansak considerably spicier than many others (this time anyway). No complaints at all.
We are a regular customers and always friendly and great food.
Lovely food arrived. Got a text advising it would be 15 mins late which was perfect as it came just after the football finished.
always a good curry but last night was exceptional. Beautiful Lamb dupiaza and chicken balti out of this world,
Excellent food as usual. Shame they do not give out free pappodums with take away orders.
It was the first time we'd tried Dulwich Tandoori. They missed my order for lime pickle, but we got a free bottle of beer and mint sauce, so no big problem. Ordered a chicken jalfrazi and lamb madras, just to see if they could get the basics right, and they certainly could. Very tasty curries, decent portions, and good ingredients too, as we didn't have bad stomachs the next day. Recommended!
Amazing!
Chicken Balti and Lamb dupiaza suberb
Food was great
Very good curry but lentils very runny. Did not get free bottle of beer though.
best curry in east Dulwich for me.
as always a good curry and delivered on time
Mango chutney and yoghurt was forgotten AGAIN. Who eats poppadums without these? Quality control of deliveries from here is not what it used to be. This means that 3 out of the last 4 times, we haven't got what we were expecting. Could be the last straw. As much as I enjoy the chefs special curry, I'll be trying somewhere else next time.
Food arrived about 20 minutes late. We enjoyed the food but it was a bit cold by the time we receive it, whcih was slightly disappointing since we live about 1 mile away. Yes we were being lazy and wanted a night in. Probably will order from them again though and just heat things up in the over. Food was very tasty.
Delivery was really quick and much appreciated the free beer! First time ordering from Dulwich Tandoori, bhuna was a little too dry but very tasty so can't really complain! Will order again!
The food was fantastic as always but the delivery was quite late. It arrived 15 minutes after the time stated. Also for the second time now we have not received our free beer which is disappointing.
Food Ok, but not fantastic, a little bland really. Looked better than it tasted.
wonderful food. The delivery was very fast. We were very happy with the order
They never fail to deliver. Great quality. very happy family.
Really lovely curry and will definitely order again. Although I did think I was due a few beer which didn't materialise.
Very good value with the 15% off over £15.Did forget the free mint sauce though! But received the mango chutney!Tried just a medium curry this time which was very nice only a touch on the dry side as I like a lot of gravy with he naan bread. But will definately be ordering from here again!
Dulwich Tandoori is our local, if it ever moved, so would we.
Well worth it
As always Dulwich Tandoori delivered the goods. Delicious food, with a few extras thrown in. Good portion sizes and prompt deivery.
Dulwich tandoori do really authentic dishes and the quality is excellent. Shame that it took over an hour to arrive, even if it was Saturday night.
Dulwich tandoori is one of m favourites, it's not mindblowingly tasty, just good curry. I was a bit disappointed with the portion size for the Dahl this time, not even half a container's worth which must have been a mistake and certainly wasn't worth the money, but I've had it before and not had that issue so I think it was probably a one-off. Will order from there again.
The food arrived over an hour after ordering it, it all to be microwaved as it was so cold. The naan had turned into floopy wafer paper. If the takeway were not sure where we lived (even though we live in the area) or could not find us insetad of driving around aimlessly they should have rang us earlier, then the food might have been slightly warm. When the delivery arrived, he then had to inform us he dropped our Beer so did not think to replace it.The food was just not nice at all. I was so unimpressed, I had ordered food at 8.30pm and did get to eat it until 10pm. Waste of my hard earned money and all my guests who had ordered for had to eat terrible food, overall embarrasment and disappointmnet to say the least.
Really terrible food. The sides really greasy and tastless. Chicken ticka was tough, overcooked and bland. This is the second time we have ordered from here and both times the food has been terrible and sauces that we paid for not in the order. Won't be going back.
Even though the food was lovely to eat, I had to warm it up in the microwave before it was edible.
The food was tasty but it wasn't very warm and the portions were small - especially the rice and naan.
Food was good, tasty and fresh, but a little cold which I guess is the downside of home delivery. Been coming here for years and see no reason to stop now.
Always top standard. By far the best curry in this area. And the staff are always charming.
Always a good curry from here - so many to choose from in Lordship Lane but I feel this is the best value and the best naan bread!
You can see why they have won awards
but you forgot my free beer!!!
The food, service, price was brilliantBut I ordered 4 pots of mango chutney for 2.00 and none arrivedThis is my only complaint Otherwise, will definitely be buying from here again!
Very good meal last night. On-time and good quality. Chicken Balti was excellent and Lamb dupiaza very good. excellent delivery service.
Good value
We order the meat thali from Dulwich Tandoori fairly regularly, and it's always a winner. A great mix of dishes and really good value.
Thoroughly enjoyable meal from Dulwich Tandoori, as always! Naga Chicken was particularly tasty! Highly recommended.
As always Dulwich Tandoori delivered a lovely hot meal. Chicken Tandoori Balti is a great dish.
We ordered our Indian which took a good hour to get here...on arriving I had ordered vegetarian samosas but they sent lamb and the amount of oil that had seeped off them was disgusting it was swimming in it...my boyfriend ordered the chicken naga but said the chicken tasted really dodgy and made him feel quite unwell after it..my 2 vegetarian side dishes were nice and the chapati/naan and rice were good too...all in all can see is ordering from there again.
Bland, oily and tasteless food. Good delivery service however.
Impressed with quality and freshness of the meal. Could have been a bit warmer, but otherwise no complaints.
We order from here and are always happy with what we getFood is cooked well and delivered reasonably quickly
On time hot and tasty !
Dulwich Tandoori do good food and they do it well. Nothing fancy just simple good food. Arrived when they said it would. Couldnt ask for more.
Tried Dulwish Tandoori for the first time last night and was very impressed. The tandoori trout was the highlight for me, but all the mains and sides we had were delicious.
Normally I love Dulwich Tandoori, but the lamb was so chewy, the saag aloo was stone cold and quite tasteless, and the potatoes weren't well cooked. Not sure I'll be ordering from them again sadly.
On time and excellent as always.
Food was delicious and arrived on time but unfortunately most of the dishes were cold, which spoilt our enjoyment.
as always a great curry but didn' receive the popadoms i paid for
We always have a good experience here. Quick delivery. Curries are nice and hot hot hot....!!!
always lovely, always good service but pricey
Great value and great food. Highly recomended.
Although food was ready at the specified time of collection, it had obviously sat in the bags for a while. Breads and bhaji were stone cold, rest was lukewarm, poppadom was chewy and we only got one in a bag, also forgot part of our order. Bit of a shame, won't use it again.
Great food and service as always.
Unfortunately I was disappoints with this orderFood cold, tasteless chicken shaktora and the pander was rubbery A shame because we normally like ordering from Dulwich tandoori
Yes it's not the same as eating in but the takeaway was nice, fresh, not too oily
great food, perfect easy late night Sunday dinner
As usual delicious food delivered on time and great service. The king prawn bhuna is superb!
Excellent quality and value
Disappointing. Took a ridiculous amount of time to arrive and not the best quality. Won't be ordering from here again.
always the same high standard of service and food is great too.
my fave
The mix vegetable Byriany was dry and tasteless ..
Had a superb curry from this restaurant....hot and spicy
On point every time.
Not only late but lukewarm, Bhaji's covered in grease, rice soggy and the chicken in the chicken massala was overcooked and dry. Been using this restaurant for about a year but standards seem to be slipping lately. Won't be ordering from here again.
Waited far too long for our food, ordered at 8:30 - it arrived at 9:55pm. Thats not good service. Food great as always.
Could have been hotter - but always an issue with take-aways.
'nuff said!
The order I placed was not the order I got- this has happened EVERY time I have ordered online through Curries Direct from Dulwich Tandoori. Have been promised a full refund...lets see if it appears!
Every time I've ordered of late they have missed something off the order.. Sorry guys at east dulwich tandoori.. I love you and everything.. But sort it out!
always a superb curry, good value and on time. superb!!!
As always a great curry and great service
I have ordered from Dulwich Tandori before and its always been very good. The food is fantastic and the delivery is always very prompt with very smart and polite delivery men.
Great taste as usual but a bit cold
Ordered at 8.50pm, picked up on time at 9.20pm and no complaints about the food. Lamb dhansak particularly nice.
The food was very tasty as usual and cooked well. Recommended!
We've been using Dulwich Tandoori for over 12 years and they never fail to impress. Delicious food (my current favourite is the Duck Silsila) and great service.
a lovely lamb dhansak, but the prawn biriyani
I've ordered from these guys before. They're pretty much always on time delivering, the portions are good. Food's tasty if a little greasy. Although check the bag properly before letting the driver go. We were promised a free bottle of beer for ordering over £20 and it wasn't in the bag.
I'm a vegetarian and it's the second time i ordered vegetarian food and got meat delivered. It's annoying, i guess it was my last order from them
good curry at good value with a smile, cant ask for more.
as always a beautiful curry, hat and spicy and good quality ingredients
A full 30 minutes late with us having to chase down the restaurant for an update. Normally great food but the lateness left us with a bad taste in out mouths.
I've eaten their really wide ranging and delicious Sunday buffets, and in the restaurant on an evening. The take away was great - good sized portions, tasty and fresh whcih was delivered in the time period they stated. And much cheaper than one of the local competitors.Great all round service.
We have had a take away from Dulwich Tandori restaurant, on both occassions the food has been delivered on time and has been excellent.
we always choose Dulwich Tandoori, the food is always good
order sadly incomplete, which kind of ruined the meal for me.. back to Babur it is then
Long waiting time (1h30) and half of our order was missing. However they came back quickly to bring the missing food. The food was very oily. There was almost half a pint of oil at the bottom of the bag and food was swimming in oil. Good taste though.
After getting my order home the rice and 3 chapatis were missing. On ringing the restaurant I was told I could go back and collect them in 5 minutes. However when I got there I waited 10 minutes.I was given a bag with my remaining food and extra popadoms which which was great. Again got home and found only had 1 chapati. Found it overall frustrating and waste of my time. Not sure where the error occurred in my order, but wont be doing it again
i am disappointed when the food arrived after 100 minutes and then it was not up to the mark. first time it arrived after an hour. sorry i have changed my resturant.
Some of our order was missing and had to be delivered later. Some of our order sent with the first delivery was incorrect and we were sent plain rice instead of pilau rice. Disappointed with service.
Delicious curry, really good value - the only "criticism" is that it was delivered 45 minutes before we asked it to be, but we were hungry anyway so it was ok! Well done Dulwich Tandoori!
hot and on time.....gorgeous
Really enjoyed this curry...hot and just the right spice and good extras (beer, chutney etc.
Really enjoyed our curry but felt it could have been warmer
The curry was very nice, but the staff were particularly rude to us as takeaway customers. I appreciate that it was a busy Saturday night, but their attitude was appalling. The food was eventually brought out and was cold by the time we got home (1 minute walk away). Still, a good curry is a good curry and (after heating) we all enjoyed it.
The food was tasty and the chicken and lamb really nice and soft- wouldn't say the jalfrezis were spicy which was a little disappointing. The problem was they were lukewarm, the rice, bhaji and naan were all cold too. We also ordered mango chutney and mint yoghurt... At the end of booking online it said we get a beer and mango chutney and mint yoghurt free- but we already paid for the dips. It wasn't deducted.
I was looking to try somewhere I hadn't tried before, and probably won't be ordering again. The food took a long time to arrive, as many other reviewers have said, when it got here it was already on it's way to being cold. I ordered the chicken handi, to say it was a bit oily would be an understatement. I don't mind oily food it goes with the turf, but enough oil had escaped the container complete cover the bottom of the bag. Even that would have been forgiven if the dish was tasty, but it was disappointing too. It might have just been a bad choice of dish, but with so many options in the area it is unlikely that they will get another go.
Never fail to please and great friendly service to boot.
The food was absolutely fabulous and we really enjoyed it — when it came. But the website says it will take 45–60 minutes, so when it hadn't arrived after 65 minutes we rang to check, and they said it would be 15–20 minutes. It finally turned up 30 minutes after that. An hour and 35 minutes is a bit much for a Thursday night!
Recommend
The food was lovely, the lamb was the best we've had. But the service wasn't great because we ordered online and told them our doorbell didn't work however, they didn't take note of this.Don't book online! But lovely food.
3 things...my peas rice did not arrive but I could not be bothered to call...when I called to change something, their guide time was 30 mins later than the websitein fairness, the food was good.If your going to book on line I suggest you allow a little more time than calling direct and possibly pay by cash as I am not sure how credits are dealt with...
If you're looking for an Indian takeaway that doesn't use lashings of grease and scary food colouring, keep looking. Very average overall: delivery was a good 30 mins late and bag was seeping oil. Chatkora chicken was really tasty and citrusy as promised. However, the tandoori chicken masala looked like molten lipstick and we couldn't bring ourselves to eat the sag paneer as it was so sickly - who puts cream, sugar and ground almonds in sag paneer??Maybe some of the house specials are nice, like the chatkora, but to be honest I probably won't try this place again.
We often eat in this restaurant, but this was the first time we had tried their takeaway service. Took an hour to come at 6:30 on a weekday evening, which seemed slow. Food was tasty, potions were Ok, but they forgot our popadums, even though they delivered all the chutneys, which were not much use without them. So OK, reasonably good value, but probably not the best.
Good food as usual, but unfortunately they forgot some of the items (not the first time they've done this), so we had to wait for them to deliver the missing items
Very disappointing. The food arrived 40 minutes later than it should have done, then opened it up and it was actually cold. I was raging, especially as you have to spend a minimum of £15 to get delivery.
We've lived in East Dulwich for nearly a year now and have always been loyal to the Dulwich Tandoori. The food is really good but the delivery service lets it down. Almost every time we order, something goes wrong and sadly its time to move on and try someone else. We've had 2 hour waits for food, we only get the 'free beer' advertised on the website if we ask for it in the comments box, the food is never hot and frequently things like poppadoms are missing. It's a shame because the food itself is really good. I'll happily pop into the restaraunt to east but wont be ordering for delivery any more.
The food here is fantastic but I won't be ordering again as it took well over an hour to arrive and when it did the delivery driver was very rude and refused to come up to my front door despite being told I had a small baby that I couldn't leave in order to come down to collect my order. The driver threatened to leave without delivering my food!
they omitted a dish that i had paid for but on the whole it was alright - will try other places before going to them again.
forgot to include the complimentary beer!
When the food arrived, it was good. it was warm too. I was rather expecting it to be cold. We ordered online, got email confirmation at 8.30. It arrived at 10.10pm. We initially called after the first hour passed and got a 'ten mins' standard fob off. When i called to ask for a refund to my card at 10pm i was told it was 2 mins away. Fair enough it turned up 5 mins later. I do like the food, but will never use them for delivery again. If they had called to let me know about delays that might have been acceptable.
Quite reasonably priced curry, definitely a plateful and we finished all of ours.
Fantastic food, meat tender and plenty of it, decent amount for someone who's starving (like I was!) Rice fluffy and arrived hot! Loads of promotions so excellent value for money! The only thing the delivery was delayed and had to wait an hour however the food was clearly freshly so was more than happy to wait!!We will deffinately order again!!!
I have order from Dulwich Tandoori for a few years through curries online with no problem at all. The last time I ordered the food was very late. This time it was incredibily late, was cold and oily and when I exlpained to the delivery driver we had been told we could have it FOC because of how long it took (ordered at ten past eight, food came at ten to ten) and was subseqeuently told by the delivery driver that it wasnt his problem and that we shouldnt order through curries online we should order through the restaurant. I told him it was convenient for me to order online and he said well there is nothing we can do. Please dont use an on line service to get orders if you cant fufill the orders properly! Shocking. never again, a shame as the food is very good when it is not cold and swimming in oil from its hour and a half journey.
Delicious curries - nice, thick sauces, decent hot king prawn madras and very tasty lamb bhuna. Service was slow, though. We ordered at 7.15 pm and it arrived at 9.15 pm and we had to chase twice (Saturday night, I know, but...). Maybe it would have been quicker if we had ordered over the phone?
was a late delivery- although it was fri night. usually have no trouble. great food
I love this restaurant but last night's take away was average. Most notably, the bread and samosas were undercooked and stodgy. I have always recommended it but it's not as good as before.
Delivery took a long while and the offer of a beer for orders over £20 could have been doubled as our order was over £40, particularly since we had to ring up to chase the delivery as it was so late.
good quality , good prices and more importantly the boys care about what there doing . well done !!!!!
The food is always fresh and full of flavour. I enjoy eating at the resturant even more but order in when haveing a night in with my hubby.
The samosas and pakoras were very greasy but tasty. The main courses were OK, but the quality of the meat wasn't the best I've had, especially the lamb which was a bit tasteless.Overall not an unforgettable experience but we got fed alright.
.
One of the best I've tried in London
great service, took longer than 45 mins, but will use it again. Only other minus point was, that we didnt get the free introductory chutney and lime pickle promised on the website. but did get the discout.
You cant go wrong ordering from Dulwich Tandoori. Very friendly service and you just have to try the Tandoori Garlic Chicken Chilli Massala - it is absolutely divine.
could probably do worse in Dulwich but the overall quality was only mediocre. Would give it another chance before I went elswhere. Took over an hour for a small order early on a monday night....
you cant get better than Dulwhich Tandoori.
I have been frequenting Dulwich Tandoori for years and to be honest I have not tasted better Indian food in London. The service is always exceptional to boot! Keep it up guys.
After having many a great meal / takeaway from this restaurant, I was deeply disappointed with my takeway order on Saturday night, an hour and a half late, fobbed off after 50 minutes saying he would be there in 5, then taking another 40. Food arrived and the meat was tough and the rice undercooked. Come one DT, what the hell has happened to you?
I just ordered my second meal from here after having a fantastic first one a couple of months ago. The food was bland, the veggies undercooked, and the meat was a bit tough. Maybe my expectations were too high after the first experience...
Took around an hour and a half, lost my telephone number. Not impressed.
beer, one of the main courses and complimentary chutneys were not delivered. The meat in the mixed jalfrezi did not taste fresh, particularly the chicken. The sauce of the king prawn masalla was very runny. Overall very disappointing to what is usually food to a high standard.
very good
Best In Dulwich by a long way, staff excellent
great veggie options, favorite indian food
First takeaway from here very nice
First take away from here was really nice. Will def order again
No beer was given with the order as promised online with order over £20.00
Good but food nowhere near the standard if you eat in.
very friendly staff who really help you when needed recommending dishes and wines. The food is simply divine
These guys are really busy every day of the week so I think that's a sign that they must be doing things right. I have never had a problem apart from the slight delay in delivery orders
Hands down the best curry house in Lordship lane, maybe even in Dulwich and I've tried most of them.
Good food. Took a while to arrive but it was a big order and they were apologetic about the delay.
Best Indian rest on lordship lane but takeaway was cold and had wrong naan bread, though to be fair they brought a new one round in 10 mins
good
i thought dulwich tandori was alright, but after being told my food had left and wont be long. And then 30 minutes later being told they only just got the order and it will be leaving shortly. Then it turned up cold, missing items and not really a very good curry at all. I will definately walk to lordship lane next time and use one of the far more superior indian resaurants.
The lamb balti was awful! The lamb was all fatty and chewey making it barely edible. A real let down as the food is usally very good!Food arrived within the time stated.
Nice meal just slightly too long delivery time. It was also nice to receive a free beer though!
onion salad was missing from our order and it was really late - even by the stated time which seemed ridiculously long to start with. the food tasted v nice when it arrived, although it was pretty cold. presumably from the long journey it took to get to us.
Food was great. Unfortunately it took over 1 hour to get me which is a bit silly as I am 0.5 miles away from you. According to the driver our flat on Overhill Road was hard to find??? I would laugh about this but I fail to see the humour in it.
Everything arrived as ordered and on time, perfect
Very tasty so I can easily forgive the slightly excessive use of ghee! Prawn puree is a bargain and absolutely delicious. Stuffed mushrooms are my fave. Mmmm.
My food took an hour and twenty minutes to arrive. Not so great for a takeaway that is five minutes down the road from me.
I normaly eat with family at the resturant but had a takeaway instead.Food was still great and a few items missing but we rang the Dulwich Tandoori which they apoligised for and delivered the missing items.Still online for more curries.
Enjoyed our very tasty vege selections. They got one dish wrong but it was still good so not really a problem.
Normally a great experience but they forgot the Naan. When rang and complained they were happy to deliver another but sent the wrong type and it was cold. Not very impressed.
great curry, probably one of the better curries i have experienced in south london. The most authentic by far.
I am a regular at Dulwich Tandoori, however I had a takeaway on Friday and the chicken Tikka Masalla was watery and the Chicken was not marinated, distingt lack of flavour, however as a regular customer I guess sometimes things just happen. Will use again as this is the only complaint I have ever had in 14 years of using them.
I am a regular at Dulwich Tandoori, however I had a takeaway
the best indian on LL Lane (in our opinion...)
Our food order took 80 minutes to arrive. OK it was a Friday night, but that is slower than other Indian takeaways nearby. Food was warm and not hot, perhaps they had delivered to a few other places first? Food wasn't bad but wasn't good either: My chicken bhuna contained little sauce to go with the meat, the okra we had was a bit on the greasy side, and overall our meal tasted a bit too sweet. That's not to say it was a bad meal, but not one of the best.
everyhting was top notch, no complaints at all which is making me feel a bit weird cos I like to have a moan at almost everything...
I love this place, always good food, friendly staff and good value.
We went to Dulwich Tandoori with some friends and were pleasnatly surprised. I have never been a big fan of Indian food but Dulwich Tandoori changed that. Food was different to the other Indian restaurants, very tasty. Service was second to none. Will definitely go back.
First time I ordered food from Dulwich Tandoori and was pleasantly surprised. Food was very good quality and still reasonably priced.
The best Indian food ever
If anyone wants to taste really well prepared food that is simply divine then the Dulwich Tandoori is the place to go. I have been coming here for over 15 years and they have never given me a reason to complain
No other Indian restaurant even comes close to these guys when it comes to food or service, simply fantastic, i visit at least 3 times a week sometimes even more
